Fire Rituals

Fire rituals are unique to the Mahayana Tantric tradition and are known to be amongst the most powerful of Tibetan Buddhist rituals. Our Centre regularly performs two main fire rituals, one in devotion to Buddha Vajrabhairava (Yamantaka in Tibetan), himself an emanation of Lord Manjushri, and the wealth god Dzambhala. These fire rituals are aimed at removing all obstacles that impede our spiritual path and practices and which obstruct us from attaining spiritual realisations, mental contentment, and physical well-being.

These secret Tantric rituals are performed by a Tantric master for accomplishment both personal and universal objectives and goals. Involving a series of preparatory rites, the actual fire offerings include meditative visualization, Tantric transformation, Mantra recitation, the offering of ritual cakes, burning of medicinal herbs and substances through homa rites, amongst other. Prayers, invocations, and offerings are mostly made to one’s spiritual guru Buddha Shakyamuni, meditational deities, the primordial Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Dakas and Dakinis, Dharma-protectors, guardian deities, and treasure gods.

In general, the four types of fire rituals are conducted—

· Peace ritual (Enriching) for purification of negative Karma;
· Proliferation ritual (Magnetising) for the increase of positive Karma and furthering of physical and mental well-being;
· Subduing ritual (Pacifying) for protection from and subdue of harmful forces; and
· Forceful rituals (Wrathful) for eradication and extermination of harmful non-humans forces and evil spirits.

All rituals are conducted by the Tantric masters through strict observance of Tantric precepts and commitments, genuine admiration for the teachings of emptiness, and simultaneous cultivation of unconditional love and compassion towards all sentient beings including the harmful spirits.

火仪式

火仪式是大乘密宗的独特传统，被认为是藏传佛教最强大的仪式之一。我们的中心定期举行两个主要的火仪式，一个是对大威德金刚的献祭，他是文殊菩萨的化身，另一个是黄财神。这些火仪式的目的是清除我们所有的精神修行障碍，和阻止获得我们灵性认知、精神满足和身体良好的障碍。

这些秘密密宗仪式是由密宗大师执行，以双重实现个人及普遍的目标与目的。实际的火供包括观想、密宗转化、念咒、供奉仪式蛋糕、通过火供仪式焚烧草药和物质等。祷告、祈祷和供养大多是向一个人的灵性上师释迦牟尼佛、冥想神、第一佛、菩萨、勇父和空行母、护法神、守护神和财神。

一般来说，有四种火仪式-

·息业仪式（息），息灾除障

·增业仪式（增）增加善业和促进身心健康；

·怀业仪式（怀），保护自身，调伏有害力量；

·诛业仪式（诛），诛灭降伏邪魔。

所有的仪式都是由密宗大师通过严格遵守密宗的戒律和承诺，对空性的教导的真正敬佩，同时培养对所有众生包括有害灵魂的无条件的爱和慈悲来进行的。
