Recently, craftsmen in Nepal began work on a stupa of Long Life, dedicated to Namgyalma, the Long Life Deity. Namgyalma is a special deity who bestows blessings of long life and freedom from life obstacles the reasons for the construction of the stupa are for the pacification of any obstacles to life, for good health and the longevity of our students, holy teachers, family and friends and indeed all sentient beings. Through the increase in our longevity and good health, beings are able to remain in human form to practice the Dharma.
The stupa measures 120cm in height and has a square base measuring 70cm x 70cm. Once it is completed and consecrated, we hope to invite it to the Kaohsiung Maha Tare Buddhist Centre directly from Nepal.
Anyone who wishes, and whose financial situation allows, may make a contribution of any amount towards the cost of the stupa. The stupa filled with holy mantras, together with shipping costs, will cost a total of SGD15,000 (about NTD352,000).
We thank you in advance for your kind and generous sponsorship.
