Vaishravana & Dzambhala Wealth Vases and Vase Blessing Puja

On Wednesday, 1st February 2023, which corresponds to the 11th day of the first lunar month in the year of the Rabbit, from 9am to about 11am, our kind Resident Teacher Geshe Lama Konchok will be leading two (2) Pujas associated with the Wealth Deities Yellow Dzhambala (Chi:黄财神) and Vaishravana (Chi:财宝天王).

A new consignment of Wealth Vases associated with both these deities have just been prepared specially for this occasion, and will be consecrated during this Event.

Any Dharma friends who are interested in attending and/or inviting one of these Wealth Vases home (available at SGD380/vase) are welcome to attend the Event or to contact the Centre for further information.

Wealth Treasure Vases

Treasure Vases are an ancient tradition in Tibetan Buddhism which is used to restore positive energy through balance, healing and abundance to both the spiritual and physical world. A Treasure Vase contains numerous items which include medicinal herbs, precious stones, sacred Buddhist materials etc. These vases are carefully prepared and consecrated with proper prayers and blessings by qualified Tantric Buddhist monks. We should always handle the Treasure Vase with respect like a Buddha’s statue and keep it at a clean and respectable place for offerings and prayers.

Below are the different categories of Treasure Vases prepared in conjunction with the relevant deities’ empowerments and blessings.

White Mahakala Wealth Treasure Vase

White Mahakala is a deity associated with wealth and protection. He is a wrathful emanation of Avalokiteshvara (Guan Yin Bodhisattva) who protects the dharma and protects us from negative forces that deplete wealth. The White Mahakala Wealth Treasure vase which contains sacred contents and is consecrated through proper rituals by trained tantric monks and has the power to attract (and protect) wealth and abundance in all aspects.

Tara Wealth Treasure Vase

The main deity of this Tara Treasure Vase is the eleventh of the twenty-one Taras, the Tara who bestows wealth and dispels poverty. There are many kinds of poverty not just financial poverty. One can also experience poverty of the Dharma, or poverty of positive experiences and realisations. Therefore, this vase is prepared invoking this aspect of Tara with a view to eliminate all kinds of poverty.

Ushnishavijaya Wealth Treasure Vase

Ushnishavijaya, also known as Namgyalma in Tibetan, is one of three supreme Buddhas of longevity. Once， Buddha Shakyamuni manifested in her form to help a deva named Susthita avoid a rebirth in the three lower realms. This Treasure Vase is recommended for those facing life threatening situations as it is effective in transforming such situations as opportunities for purification of negative karma. It also helps to extend one’s life span, recover from serious diseases, and avoid premature death through accidents or disasters.

Medicine Buddha Wealth Treasure Vase

Bhaishajyaguru, or more popularly ‘Medicine Buddha’, is the Buddha of medicine and healing who dwells in the pure Buddha realm called ‘the Land of Lapis Lazuli’ in the East. By placing the vase at your home or office not only brings abundance of good health, longevity and prosperity, it also eliminates disharmony and illnesses caused by bad fengshui through neutralising negative energy in the area.

Zambhala Wealth Treasure Vase

This is a Treasure Vase associated with bringing conditions necessary for the increase of wealth, and also to better relationships that lead one to acquiring, accumulating and maintenance of wealth. It is therefore recommended for those engaged in business.

Vaisravana Wealth Treasure Vase

Like the Zambhala Treasure Vase, the Vaisravana (Tib: Namtose) Treasure Vase has similar functions associated with the acquiring, accumulation and maintenance of wealth.
