Kopan Memorial Stupas Consecration & Golden Spire Offering, 10 to 19 Dec 2026

Led by Geshe Lama Konchok, Maha Tare Buddhist Centre will be organising a pilgrimage to Nepal from 10 to 19 December 2026 to attend the Inauguration Ceremonies of the Memorial Stupas at Kopan Monastery and Kopan Nunnery. We also have the precious opportunity to participate collectively as a Centre in sponsoring the Gilded Golden Spire (Sertok) of the Memorial Stupas at Kopan Monastery and Kopan Nunnery. The Sertok is the crowning pinnacle of a stupa and symbolises the complete attainment of enlightenment. Contributing towards this sacred offering creates immense merit and helps preserve and support the flourishing of the Buddha Dharma for generations to come.

The Golden Spire (Sertok) is the sacred gilded pinnacle that crowns a Buddhist stupa or temple, symbolising the complete attainment of enlightenment and the flourishing of the Buddha Dharma. Sponsoring the Sertok is regarded as a highly meritorious offering that supports the preservation of the teachings and creates the causes for wisdom, prosperity, and spiritual accomplishment.

In conjunction with the inauguration ceremonies of the Memorial Stupas at Kopan Monastery and Kopan Nunnery in December 2026, devotees are invited to participate in the collective sponsorship of the Golden Spire (Sertok). These auspicious ceremonies will honour the legacy of Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Lama Lhundrup Rigsel.
