7th Lunar Month Ullambana Festival Jungwa Rituals, 27 Aug to 9 Sep 2026

Maha Tare Buddhist Centre’s 2026 Ullambana Festival will be held from 27 August 2026 (Thursday) to 9 September 2026 (Wednesday). Daily Ullambana prayers will take place from 27 August to 8 September 2026, followed by the Grand Jungwa Ritual on 9 September 2026 (Wednesday) at 7:00 PM.

The Jungwa ritual is a special Tantric ritual aimed at eradicating all obstacles that block the path of our deceased parents, relatives, friends, and other sentient beings. It helps clear the path of release for those deceased beings, whose spirits are languishing in some unfavorable and lesser states of Samsara, and also removes obstacles for those who are still living in this world system.
