As we navigate our lives, there will invariably be times when we will encounter choppy waters, just as a ship at sea is bound to experience. But it is important to remember that tough times do not last – such is the truth of impermanence of all phenomena. Such times also serve as a reminder, and indeed a conducive platform, for us to look internally within ourselves with a view to bettering ourselves spiritually, and examining how we can better help those around us, the society in which we live and beyond.
It is in this spirit that our Centre, which aims to be a beacon of light for all the weary who travel at sea, has prepared this video. It is not just as an introduction to the Centre but also hopes to inspire by introducing some very basic principles in Buddhism and also introduces the different means through which our religion and the power of prayer can help us to navigate our lives, particularly during difficult times. It is also a piece of work borne out of love for all sentient beings, to whom the wisdom and compassion of the Buddha indiscriminately extend.
