3 Days teaching by HE Khensur Rinpoche on Shantideva’s Guide to the Bodhisattvas’ Way of Life from 22 Mar 2019 to 24 Mar 2019

After the 3 days initiation event, H.E. Khensur Lobsang Delek Rinpoche will be giving teachings on Shantideva’s A Guide to the Bodhisattvas’ Way of Life (Skt. Bodhicāryāvatāra, Tib. Chö-juk) for 3 consecutive days from 22 March 2019 (Fri) to 24 March 2019 (Sun) at our Centre.

Shantideva’s A Guide to the Bodhisattvas’ Way of Life

The three sessions will shed light on this classical work and delineate a wide assortment of important Buddhist themes: Benefits of Bodhicitta, the altruistic intent for enlightenment; purification of harmful deeds; adopting the altruistic intent for enlightenment; conscientiousness; awareness; patience; effort; concentration; wisdom; and dedication.

Counted as one of the most important Buddhist manuals for an altruistic living and spiritual enlightenment, the text guides us on how to live according to the ideals, values, and principles enshrined in the Mahayana tradition.

Khensur Lobsang Delek Rinpoche

Khensur Lobsang Delek Rinpoche is the former abbot of Gyumey Tantric Monastery (2006-2010) and Sera Jey Monastic University (2011-2016). Born in Tehor Kardze region of Eastern Tibet in 1939 and ordained at seven, he has devoted most of his time in learning, contemplation, and meditation, and in teaching Buddhist religion, philosophy, and practice. With over seven decades of training, experience and mastery of the Sutra and Tantra traditions in Buddhism, Khensur Rinpoche has taught extensively in Asia and the West. He is currently one of the leading masters of the Gelukpa school of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
