As in previous years, this year’s Chinese New Year Eve puja is, in the main, that of Goddess Sitatapatra. This year the Centre shall in addition be performing a Zambhala milk offering.
Goddess Sitatapatra’s puja is important as it is intended to eliminate all obstacles and negativities accumulated during the year, before one enters the new year. That is why the ritual is scheduled to start at 10pm, and is jntended to take us to the end of the year of the Pig. You are encouraged to bring flowers and/or fruits offerings.
The Milk offering to Zambhala will follow after the Sitatapatra Puja, and will involve the offering of milk and other items to Zambhala to pray for auspicious conditions for the betterment of one’s finances in the new year during these tough economic times.
It is hoped that participation in these sacred rituals will bring an end to all lack of success in the past, and bring abundant happiness and joy to you and your families in the year of the Rat.
