The Year 2021 and the Lunar Year of the Bull has continued to be challenging for everyone. It is therefore with hope that we look towards 2022 and the Lunar Year of the Tiger.
With these positive motivations in mind, the Maha Tare Buddhist Centre extends a warm welcome to everyone to participate in the Chinese New Year Eve Puja on 31 Jan 2022 to usher in the year of the Tiger during which we will pray for auspicious conditions to come and abide with us, with a wish for the global COVID-19 situation to abate, and for peace and prosperity for our country Singapore and beyond.
The Chinese New Year Eve Pujas will involve the invocation of two wealth deities, namely White Mahakala and Yellow Dzhambala, who assist not only with auspicious conditions for spiritual and monetary wealth, but also with blessings for good health.
The rituals which begin at 10pm will take us till midnight, after which we will be carrying out a smoke offering (Tibet: Sangsol) to usher in all things auspicious. Members and friends are reminded to bring your arrows (Tib: Dadar).
For those who wish to attend in person and/ or have any queries, please do contact us. The event will be broadcasted on Facebook Live and everyone is welcome to attend online.
